Head Teacher Update

Dear parents and carers,

I just wanted to write a short message before the half-term holiday to thank you for all your hard work and support with home learning this term - I know how difficult this has been for many of you. The work the children have been completing with your help has been outstanding and we are full of admiration for you and your effort and determination!

We take on board feedback from parents and regularly review our remote learning offer. Recent changes and improvements include:

  • Increased face to face contact with teachers and classmates through online meetings

  • Recordings of teachers modelling skills

  • Activities which involve less screen time

  • Activities that promote well-being and positive mental health

  • Additional challenges for pupils to choose to work on

Thank you for sharing your ideas with us and please keep them coming, either directly to your child's teacher, or by contacting us here: https://www.ilfracombe-jun.devon.sch.uk/contact

We now await further announcements from the government as to when all pupils will return to school and we hope it will be soon. In the meantime, we will support you as best we can and we will continue to make regular contact with you and your child.

I hope you are able to enjoy some well-deserved rest this half term and we will be in touch on Monday 22nd February.

Warm regards,

Mr Le Bredonchel
