Is JK Rowling Iconic?

Over the past few weeks we have been researching, debating and presenting ideas about what makes a person truly iconic. We have studied the life and work of Dr Martin Luther King Jr and Alan Turing as a way of understanding how one person can make a world of difference to the way we live. Each child has chosen a person to present as an icon. Is JK Rowling iconic? Did Marilyn Monroe change the world of film? Would music be the same without the influence of David Bowie? These are questions some of the children have tackled as they worked to prove that their chosen person is globally life changing. Children presented a speech they have written in the form of a podcast which was the result of a series of Computing lessons.
