Looking at Pop Art in Year 4

For our Art topic this year, we are exploring Printing.  Our question is this:  Using the style of Pop Art, how can we use colour to represent mountains?

We have explored printing techniques and effects by looking at the works of pop artists Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.  At first, we made repeated patterns with Lego bricks, lemons and our fingers.  We have been investigating the effect of different backgrounds to contrast and complement the colours of our repeated printed pattern.  Our final piece will link in with our Geography topic on mountains, earthquakes and volcanoes as we create a volcano print in the style of either Warhol or Lichtenstein.
