We are about to begin the first Geography topic in Year 3 -' Where is Ilfracombe?'
Throughout this topic we will be learning about the 7 continents and key countries within them. We will then zoom into the UK and find where we live. We will be using Atlases and developing our map skills to identify different countries, capital cities etc. Did you know that the UK is actually called The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland?
We have put together a knowledge organiser which shows the key information we would like the children to know by the end of the unit. It would be great if you could go over this with your children.
