The aim of World Religion Day is to unite religions across the world by focusing on what they have in common. To start our day, we took part in a Teams Meeting with a representative from the Baha’i Faith who told us all about his beliefs and principles. It was a lovely moment, knowing that the whole school was listening to Warren and learning the same thing across the classrooms.
We spent some time looking at the different world religions and thinking about what they have in common with each other. In the Hall, was a display of different religious artefacts and questions to get us thinking about how they might be used and why they should be treated respectfully.
In the afternoon, we focused on a shared principle across all the world religions, ‘treat others the way that you would want to be treated.’ We created some beautiful, thoughtful art pieces to reflect this.
