School Sports

Developing character through sport.

Taking part in competitive sport allows pupils to develop their team work and resilience.  It teaches us to be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

We are very proud of our ability to offer a wide range of sports to our pupils - hopefully there is something for everyone to enjoy and get involved with! We are also very active in competitions with other local & national schools. Below is a list of all the sports we currently compete against other schools in:

  • Football

  • Futsal (European 5-a-side)

  • Tag Rugby

  • Netball

  • High 5 Netball

  • Sports Hall Athletics

  • Cricket

  • Quicksticks

  • Tennis

  • Aquathlon

  • Striking & Fielding Festivals

  • Orienteering Festivals

We also foster a healthy competitive (but friendly!) spirit between our own pupil houses. The winning house accumulated points towards their total and there's a trophy at the end of each year for the house with the greatest quantity of house points. They compete against each other in:

  • Football

  • Netball

  • Rounders

  • Basketball

  • Tennis

  • Tag Rugby

  • Cricket

  • Ball Skills

We also run an additional Olympic-style sports day with traditional track & field competitions for everyone to enjoy.

Play Leaders

Our Play Leaders are trained to help support the fun & games at lunch & break times by organising their own activities for everyone to enjoy. They are excellent role models for the other pupils and really help the house competitions to run smoothly.
