Friends Group

The Friends Group is a small but dedicated group of parents & teachers who meet once a month to plan fundraising activities for the school.

The meetings only last 30 minutes and we'd love to have more people join us but you don't have to come along to meetings. Just look out for our posters, letters & requests and come along to our events to spend your money. Sometimes we ask for donations of raffle prizes or cakes, and in the past we've sold tea towels and coasters in aid of the school.

How Can You Help Raise Money For Your Child's School?

  • Support our events, look out for posters on our notice board by the top gate, or letters in your children's bags and come along!

  • Join (details below) - each time you shop online our school can get a cashback percentage.

  • Match Funding, some bigger companies offer this. Can you check if any of your family works for a company that does?

  • Donations, some groups and businesses are happy to support fundraising in the local community by making a donation of funds or materials. Perhaps you, or someone in your family is able to ask their place of work?

You can register online at EasyFundRaising; where each time you shop online, a small percentage of the total will be donated to the school(usually around 2.5%). Simply visit the website and click on the "I want to support a good cause" tab, search for us and then select the "Ilfracombe C of E Junior School, IJS Orchard Group" Select "Get Started" and enter the details required. If you like, you can install the reminder option, which will remind you to use EasyFundRaising each time you shop online.
