Story Telling at Ilfracombe Library

Today, 5RM and 5KJ visited Ilfracombe Library. Cath told us the story of the Gingerbread Man and the poem The Anteater. All the children found Cath’s story telling funny, which helped them get excited about books. We then had time to explore the library and it’s different text types. Some children even found books to help them with their space project! Kirsty said: “I really liked Cath telling the story of the gingerbread man. I liked it because she was very funny, especially the voices she put on!” Gracie said: “We were given time to find books that we wanted to read. I liked reading the cookbook because I am really interested in cooking.”
