Lighting Up Christmas with Science!
Our Year 4 scientists explored electricity by learning about conductors, insulators, and simple circuits. Using their knowledge, they designed festive Christmas cards that really shine! Each card includes a working circuit with a bulb powered by a battery and connected using copper tape. This project combined creativity with scientific understanding, showing how electrical energy can bring ideas to life.


Year 4 - Geography Walk
In October, Year 4 went on a local river walk. We followed the East Wilder River from Bicclescombe Park, which is close to its source, to its mouth at Wildersmouth Beach. As the river left the park, it disappeared under the road and reappeared between houses, buildings and carparks at different stages until it reached the beach. Year 4 - Religion and World Views
In Year 4, we have been learning what it means when we say that the Trinity is ‘3 in 1’. We found out about both adult and infant baptism, first learning the story of Jesus being baptised in the river Jordan and exploring the symbolism of water in the Christian religion. In St Peter’s Church, Father John talked us through a mock infant baptism and explained the different steps and roles in the ceremony. 4EB - History
During our immersion day, we found out about the daily lives of the people who lived in Ancient Greece. We learned about the original Olympic Games and those who took part in it. We made laurel leaf crowns out of paper like the winners would have worn and took part in our own mini Olympics. We also made paintings of Greek terracotta pots designed with the patterns and images of the time. Our favourite part of the day was tasting some food from the place and time including
