Where my Wellies Take Me

As part of our poetry work in English, Year 5 pulled on their wellies and went on an adventure. We stopped along the way to listen and look around, making notes in our walking booklets, which we will use back in class for our poetry writing. We enjoyed being out in nature, trudging through mud and puddles, listening to bird calls and looking out for signs of Spring. Our independent writing will be based on a special walk that we have enjoyed and we will be sending some of our finished poems to Michael and Clare Morpurgo, who compiled our text 'Where my Wellies Take me.'
