We have been learning about the planets in our solar system. We know: the order they go in (from nearest to the Sun), how big each planet is compared to each other, how far they are from the sun and what it is like on those planets. We even made a model solar system using fruit to represent the planets!
Using torches, we have shown how night and day is created – with the help of a spinning chair. We have shown the phases of the Moon as it orbits the Earth using balls and torches and even had a go at making working human solar systems!
We are all very excited about our upcoming Space Expo where we will be showcasing our scientific understanding by promoting our very own space themed inventions.
