5RM Woolacombe beach trip

Last week 5RM visited the beach to work with the National Trust. We met up with Fraser, who kindly helped to reinforce our learning about Oceans. We started by learning about the importance of sand dunes and how they are created. We went on to help measure the sand dunes using the equipment and process we were shown by Fraser. Once we had completed our sand dune profiles, we took part in a litter collection across the beach. This helped us to see the impact of plastic pollution first hand and will help us to continue our Oceans work back at school.

A big thank you to Fraser for all his help and knowledge across the day!
