Our school is like an art gallery!

Updated: Jan 19, 2022

All our pupil shave been creating their own masterpieces inspired by a wide variety of artists, from a range of cultures, backgrounds and moments in history.

Year 6 have been studying L.S Lowry as they learnt about life during the Blitz in World War 2. Pupils discussed how art is a source of historical evidence and how we can learn from it generations later.

Year 5 have created their own class versions of Hokusai's famous painting The Great Wave off Kanagawa.

All year groups learnt about the amazing work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Lily Sol, Frida Kahlo and Faith Ringgold. The children produced some vibrant, colourful pieces that are just truly stunning. It is a joy to walk our corridors.
