Dear parents,
Thank you for your patience as I know many of you have been concerned about this. I can confirm that both the Stowford and Pinkery residentials due to run in June are now officially cancelled. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, we were unable to make this decision until the government's closure of accommodation premises extended beyond the dates our trips were due to run. That took place in the announcements last week and so we have been able to confirm this with both organisations. We also had the slightly tricky task of working out how to obtain money to refund you as access to banks etc has been limited.
I am very pleased to tell you all that we now have cash refunds ready for immediate collection. Please come to the School Office between 10am and 12pm each day. We have put the money into envelopes to reduce any risk from handling cash. Please do not come at any other time unless prearranged.
If you are unable to come to school yourselves to collect your refunds, please email the school office on admin@ilfracombe-jun.devon.sch.uk to advise us of an adult representative that you will be sending on your behalf. Please note, unless you have advised us of this before they come, money will not be passed to them. We will also not be sending refunds home with pupils.
