Harvest Festival

Our school will be having its Harvest Festival Assembly at St Peter’s Church on Friday 4th October.

If possible, we would like each child to bring in to school an item of food from their cupboard at home to donate to the harvest collection. Contributions will need to be brought in during the week beginning Monday 30th September.

This year we would like to provide whole meals so can children please bring contributions towards the following:

Year 3 – Breakfast (cereal, sugar, marmalade, jam, etc.)

Year 4 – Lunches (tuna, cereal bars, tinned meat, soups, etc.)

Year 5 – Dinner (rice / pasta, tinned meats, sauces, etc.)

Year 6 – Drinks & treats (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, squash, juice, chocolate bars, etc.)

Children should take their donation to the quiet area where there will be a container for each House. The House with the fullest container will be awarded star points towards their total. The food will then be taken to the Northern Devon Food Bank and distributed to local people in need. Thank you very much for your help.

This Harvest Festival assembly is just for the children but there will be a Christmas Carol Service which parents can attend which we will send you details about after half term.
