Music is for everyone!

At our school our music lessons are linked with our projects studied in class.

Year 6 are learning all about World War 2 and in music, we talked about the rationing of food and how it might have been stored. We learnt a song called ‘The Quartermaster’s Stores’ and we have all been practising the chords of C and F on the ukulele to accompany our singing. Here we are concentrating carefully to play these chords accurately and know when to change between the chords, which can be tricky at times. At the end of the first lesson we were very proud of our progress and our success in playing together as a whole class ukulele band.
