On the 6th of November we were inspected by HMI Iain Freeland.  The report can be found here:

This report reflects the commitment and expertise of our staff and the hard work of the pupils.  We are particularly proud of all the work we have undertaken on the planning and teaching of our curriculum.  The feedback from the inspector suggests we are further ahead than many schools in preparation for the renewed focus on the quality of a school's curriculum that will be central to the OFSTED inspection framework in 2019.

The key area we needed to take further action on was to continue to develop phonics work for pupils when they join our school in year 3. it was recognised that 'many of our young readers are weak readers'. The good news is that we have already responded to this matter with additional phonics training for our Year 3 teachers and teaching assistants.
