On Wednesday 12th October, Ilfracombe Church of England Juniors welcomed athlete James Dasaolu into our school. James is an Olympic runner competing in the 100m, 4x100m and 200m. He competed at the 2012 Olympics in London and the 2016 Olympics in Rio. He spent the morning giving assemblies to all the pupils talking about his training regime, his nutrition plan, events that he has competed in and the attributes that make a good athlete such as resilience and hard work. After the assemblies, the children then went into the gym to take part in a circuit with James giving them tips to make sure they were working their hardest! All the children thoroughly loved the morning with amazing questions being asked.
