Playworker Vacancy

Combe Kids Club have a vacancy coming up for a playworker at their out of school club from 18 May 2020. They are looking for someone who loves to relax and have fun with children, who has a good sense of responsibility, is reliable, willing to learn and able to work as part of a team.

Job description:

You will be responsible for meeting at the Junior school in the afternoons to walk the children down to the Infants School. Supervision and playwork with children aged 4 – 11 at afterschool and holiday club.

Qualification requirements:

None required.

Safeguarding training must be completed once an offer of employment has been given and the opportunity to do paediatric first aid will be offered.

Subject to satisfactory DBS check.

Hours: Mon – Fri afternoon term time (hours vary, but average around 9).

Holiday club runs over Easter, May and weeks 1,2 and 4 of summer (excluding bank holidays). Holiday club hours are usually half days – either morning or afternoon, although some full days may be required, shifts average at 3 – 4 per week.

Some overtime may be required to cover holidays or sick days.

Rate of pay: dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
