The Big Plastic Count 11th – 17th March

Next week, Year 5 will be taking part in The Big Plastic Count run by Greenpeace. This links in with our geography topic - Oceans and protecting them from human caused threats. The Big Plastic Count will also help us to realise how big of a problem Plastic Pollution is and will give us with some ideas of how to help.

To take part, each child is being asked to keep a tally (form provided) of the plastic items they throw away like plastic bottles and carrier bags. We will then input the data in school, children’s names will not be used, and this will give us an idea of our plastic waste in each class as well as going into the national data that Greenpeace will collate.

If you are not in Year 5 but would like to take part, please see Mrs Moore, who will give you the Tally Form and help you input your data afterwards.
