On Wednesday the 9th of January our Year 5/6 football team went to Sandymere Sports ground at Northam, to enter the North Devon qualifier for the U11 Danone football competition.
The competition is a worldwide competition with over 2.5 million children from 32 different countries entering!
There were 8 teams from across North Devon that entered this stage of the competition.
Our team were undefeated in the competition and went through to the Devon finals after a fantastic game against Newport which we won in a penalty shootout!
Well done to Henry Haynes, Sam Gover, Leighton Rigler, Max Peach, Harry Davies, Riley Malin, Riley Carless and Lucas Doughty.
The Devon finals will be held at Paignton Sports and Community College on Tuesday 29th of January were we will represent North Devon in both the boys and girls finals.
