In our school, we love learning new words. Vocabulary is taught to develop the children's understanding of texts and of the world around them. The words we learn each week are carefully chosen and the children are encouraged to use them in both their spoken and written language. Each class keeps their own dictionary of the words learnt so we can keep looking back to refresh our memories.
