Year 3 Geography Fieldtrip

Yesterday, year 3 explored their local area. They identified and observed Ilfracombe's main human and physical geographical features. They asked questions and collected objects on their journeys to help them build a sense of place and understand what makes Ilfracombe so special. When they got back to class, they pinpointed key locations/ features on a map of Ilfracombe. They used pins to locate the features in the photographs from their walk.

"I've learnt that St Nicholas' Chapel on Lantern Hill is the one of the oldest lighthouses in the UK and it's the oldest building in Ilfracombe!" - Mia
