The Year 5 Spelling Bee Grand Final

Each Year 5 class held heats leading up a ‘Class Final’, with all children in all classes showing great confidence at being able to attempt to spell any and every word that was given.  In the end, in each Year 5 class, a winner was found: Lennox Stone, Oscar Barnes and Sirat Kaur.

So that stage was set for the Year 5 Spelling Bee Grand Final.

All three children were given three words from the Year 5 and 6 Spelling list, and at the end of this round, two children had scored full points and so bonus words was needed!  For these rounds, words were selected from a KS3 spelling list and after much amazing spelling, our winner was found: Sirat Kaur!

So, congratulations to all children involved, to our runners up Oscar and Lennox and to our winner, Sirat!
