Year 5 Visit Woolacombe

Updated: Jun 21, 2021

This week, Year 5 have been out and about! We went in the minibuses to Woolacombe beach to complete some Geography fieldwork. We have been learning about the world's oceans this term with a particular focus on plastic pollution. We wanted to compare two local beaches to explore the extent of plastic pollution in our area.

We had a thoroughly great time! The children were brilliantly behaved and loved being out in the fresh, sea air. We made some interesting observations about the cleanliness of the beach and were able to do our bit by completing a litter pick as well. Of course, there was also some time for playing and having fun!
