4JW at Simonsbath

4JW had an amazing, action-packed time at Simonsbath House this week. We went on an assault course, zoomed down a zipline, climbed walls of all sizes and even attempted archery. We had a fantastic torch-lit night walk and built shelters in the dark! Although some of us were a little nervous, we all stayed overnight and loved sharing a dormitory with our friends. On the second day, we learned all about the River Barle (after a cooked breakfast, of course) and we enjoyed the beautiful sunshine as we went for a walk along the river’s banks. The staff at the centre were impressed that we could spot many of the features (such as tributary, confluence, flood plains, meander) we had learned about in our Geography lessons. We had an amazing residential and the only downside was that it had to end. Look at our photos and see if you can work out what ‘land rafting’ is.
