5RM walked from school to Chambercombe Woods. Along the way, we stopped in different places to take note of our surroundings. We listened, looked and smelt different things to help inspire our English poetry writing. In the woods, we jumped in puddles, squelched in mud and even got caught in some hail! We had a great day and have lots of fantastic ideas for our poems.
“I liked that we got to explore the nature and do things that I don’t get to do at home – like jumping in the mud and puddles with my friends. I will use the sounds I heard in my poem” – Cruz
“I really liked walking through the mud and seeing different water falls. I will add the birds I could hear, the waterfalls and the gooey mud to my poem.” – Evelyn
