Today we went to the Westward Ho! Beach to look at the coastal features.
We followed the quiz along the coastal path set up by the visitor centre as we made our way to the pebble ridge. Then we discussed what features Westward Ho! Had and the similarities and differences of the beach to Hele beach that we visited last week.
The children were quick to notice the difference in the landscape for example, the pebble ridge was not something we saw at Hele. We also recognised that both beaches had similar coastal features like both having low and high tides.
After showing off our knowledge of coastal features, we got creative and made some using the resources available on the beach.
