A River – By Oliver (4DS)
There is a river outside my stone window in my home in Italy.
From where I sit, I can see it flowing into the dirty, Roman town.
Where will it take me?
The current carries me though the ambushed, Roman town and past the noisy people working on the streets.
Beside the ancient amphitheatre where gladiators fight, many voices are shouting me.
I sail past the beautiful Colosseum.
It takes me to the Mediterranean.
I can feel the wind hitting against my face.
If I look over the edge of my boat, I can see brave gladiators fighting.
I can hear gentle, mild rain drops on my window sill.
In my room once again, I see, my silver, sparkly boat sailing into the distance.
