Black History and Racism

We are exploring Black British History as October is Black History Month (UK). We will use this month to inspire us to learn more about black history and its impact on lives in Britain and we will continue to learn about diversity and equality throughout the year in many different subjects.

We are also learning about racism in PSHE and we are helping pupils to understand what it is, why it takes place and the impact of racism. We have a range of texts to help us learn about racism and black history (see below) which we are looking forward to sharing with the children.
