Busy times in 6JA!

In Science this week we have been exploring and learning all about the heart. We discussed what happens to our hearts when we begin to exercise and how the heart must beat faster to get enough oxygenated blood to our working muscles. We then went out to the playground and carried out some exercise at different intensities before measuring our heart rates to see how they increased as the level of exercise became more intense.

In history, we enjoyed our evacuee day last week (13.1.23). We spent our morning learning all about life for evacuees during the world war and in the afternoon, we learnt about propaganda and the influence it had on the British people during the war.

On Tuesday of this week (17.1.23) we then presented our findings on propaganda to the whole school in our assembly.

The children who read were amazing and presented so well, well done!
