In Design and Technology this half term, we have been given the brief 'To design and make a gift box for the Roman section of a museum'. We have been experimenting with creating 2D nets to construct 3D shapes. We have also been practising our cutting, scoring and drawing skills. Experimenting with securing the nets together using sticky tape and glue, we decided that we liked the neatness of the glue but the strength of the Sellotape. Next, we may look at using double-sided Sellotape to secure our prototypes, to ensure they are both neat and strong. We can't wait to see what our final product looks like.
