Dear parents and carers
The government officially announced today that schools must now provide Free School Meals during the Easter holidays.
In order to do this, we will try to issue you with a voucher that can be redeemed at a supermarket (Tesco being the only option in Ilfracombe at the moment). This will be to the value of £15 per eligible child and will cover this week (6th-10th April). Please be aware however that there are reports of delays in the vouchers being issued so although we will submit your details to the service provider today, we will be unable to say when you will then be sent the voucher. Vouchers are valid for 1 month.
If you do not have an email address we will try our best to get a printed voucher to you this week however this will be a challenge given the time we have left and the limited staff in school during the holidays so we would appreciate your understanding on this matter.
Information for parents can be found here:
For next week (14th - 17th April), we will give parents the choice of having a hamper which can be collected from school on Tuesday 14th April (at 12pm) or an E Voucher that can be redeemed at the supermarkets. Please reply Hamper or Voucher to the text that was sent to you today. Please check the updates in the Parent blog for further information as we have it.
Thank you for your understanding on this issue. We are working hard to get you the support you need in difficult circumstances. If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
I hope you and your families are all able to stay safe and well.
Mr Le Bredonchel
