Investigating Wildersbrook

Year 5 took the brave step - in the name of Geography- to find out if Wildersbrook is powerful enough to power Ilfracombe by building a hydroelectric dam. We did this by investigating the width, depth, flow rate and observing the present features.

It was a great day because we not only measured the river but we also challenged ourselves to climb a big hill! We are now busy in class collecting our data and looking to see if Wildersbrook is up to the challenge.

We will let you know in the poster and speech presentation we will hold near the end of term.
