Visit from 361Energy

On Friday 8th November, STEM ambassadors from 361Energy came into school to work with our Year 3 and Year 5 children, educating them about the weather (Year 3) and renewable energy (Year 5). The children were given the opportunity to demonstrate what they already know about these topic areas as well as learning new things and being given an insight into some of the work that goes on in our local area (and world wide) to use energy more efficiently.

The day finished with an assembly where some of the children were given the chance to ride bikes to generate power! The demonstration showed how much energy it takes to boil a small jug of water.

An opportunity to understand how STEM links to renewable energy and a sustainable future was a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn more about and see in action. Thank you to 361Energy for giving up their time to visit us at our school!
