Year 3 Explore Ilfracombe!

'Last week, our Year 3 children set off on an exciting walk around Ilfracombe, developing a real sense of place and experiencing plenty of awe and wonder along the way. As budding geographers, they investigated our local area by identifying key human and physical features.

Armed with maps, the children located important landmarks they spotted on their journey and used a range of geographical skills, including careful observation and map reading. They also completed a special scavenger hunt, collecting items that reminded them of Ilfracombe through the lens of their five senses.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to explore, discover, and connect with the beautiful town they live in.'
